About

Inspired by different fields of craftsmanship and finding new meaning in objects, Aleksandra loves to make her drawings come alive.

“The objects I am creating are like my personal recipes I want you to try - I would add a bit of dreams, childhood memories, favourite fairy tales, music and emotions. I’d be honored to guide you to the places of your own unique imagination through the lens of mine.”

Aleksandra Żeromska (born in Warsaw, Poland) works between art and design, defining and merging the boundaries between them. She graduated from ECAL, Switzerland (University of Arts and Design in Lausanne) with a Master’s degree in Design for Luxury and Craftsmanship, where she collaborated with leading industry brands.

Aleksandra has a strong background in product design and strategy with work spanning porcelain, furniture, lighting, textiles and home accessories. She gained her experience as a member of the Lladró design team where she had the opportunity to explore the remarkable world of porcelain, alongside some of the leading craftspeople in Spain. She has been a part of several design and consultancy studios, between Spain and Poland.

In her design she focuses on exploring and understanding her Slavic roots, passing them through an individual lens of her dreams, emotions and imagination. Although her creations are diverse, she strives to maintain her distinctive style, believing in the importance of our unique differences. Drawing by hand plays a crucial role in her work as it helps her to transform our surrounding reality into new, unexpected forms and very personal language.

Deriving inspiration from the wonders of the natural world, cultural heritage and vivid imagination, Aleksandra is constructing a personal Cabinet of Curiosities. Steadily creating a collection that evokes a sense of wonder, she seeks to put a spotlight on objects and stories that have been forgotten. Through her own eyes she invites the spectator on a journey where they can find references to their own memories and culture. Her work plays with ideas, shaping new rituals and celebrating a collective memory of fantasy.
